House paint, epoxy, acrylic gel on wood

The photo does not capture that this painting had a tremendous contrast. The left side of the painting was covered with a very thick layer of crystal clear epoxy which gave that side a powerful sense of depth and light and water. The right side of the painting was built up with thick acrylic gel and was stamped with a home-made tile to create the texture. It's very rough, typically with peaks and depths in the texture of as much a quarter of an inch.
