Piano Mosaic

House paint on wood

The most significant connection I have to this piece is that all the dark wood came from a 1912 piano that belonged to my great-grandmother. The soundboard in the piano had warped and was impossible to tune. I decided to salvage the beautiful wood and make some art with it, so I used a table saw to cut up several smaller paintings and reassemble them into this mosaic.
