Zion
House paint on wood
I had two complex gradients in my mind and I wanted to see how I could get them to interact: a complex white-to-green and a complex blue-to-violet. This painting was the fruit of that experiment. I named it Zion because it loosely reminded me of a sunset hike I took years ago through the Emerald Pools in Zion National Park, where me and my buddy were the only ones in a paradisal scene for an hour during sunset.
